Take a 75-hour salesperson pre-license course covering real estate principles, NJ law, finance, contracts, and ethics from an NJREC-approved school.
Register for the exam through PSI Exams. Pay the $15 exam fee. Schedule at a PSI testing center in New Jersey or a neighboring state.
Score 70% or higher on BOTH the 80-question national section and the 30-question NJ section. You must pass each independently.
Submit your license application to the NJ Real Estate Commission. Pay the $160 license fee. Include your exam pass letter and school certificate.
Your application must include a broker's sponsorship. The broker signs your application verifying they will supervise your activities as a salesperson.
