Step-by-Step: Getting Your Georgia License

Complete 75-hour GREC-approved pre-license course

Take a 75-hour salesperson pre-license course from a GREC-approved school. The course covers GA license law, agency (BRRETA), contracts, finance, and fair housing.

Apply to PSI for the exam

Register for the exam through PSI Exams. Pay the $121 fee. Georgia's exam fee is higher than most states. Schedule at a PSI testing center in Georgia.

Pass the 152-question exam

Score at least 72% on BOTH the 100-question national section AND the 52-question Georgia section. Sections must be passed independently.

Submit license application to GREC

Apply online at grec.state.ga.us. Submit exam score reports, school certificate, and the $170 license fee. Include your background check authorization.

Activate under a GA licensed broker
